How I wore it: a riot of blah

Greetings! I'm back to my old computer! It got returned to me today, good as new. I can actually play CDs on it and the keyboard is all new and bright and shiny and oooohhhh... Let's hope the reason for which I took it in to be fixed doesn't start up again, but so far so good.

Today (Wednesday) I went to tutor, as my tutee has some conflict with her usual Thursday day/time, so this week and next we're meeting on Wednesdays. As always, it was a good excuse to leave the house.

Would you trust your young kids with this lady? I originally wanted to wear a different pant, a grey pinstripe, but those pants were thrown away in a fit of rage don't fit at the moment, so I went with my khakis. I liked the idea of wearing an office-wear pant so that I would totally have a whole geeky vibe (note the necklace!), but the best-laid plans, my friends...

Not much more to add - I'm just a bundle of neutrals, what with the white, black, and khaki. Because I had envisioned the outfit differently from the beginning, I found myself a little underwhelmed by what I actually wore out. And, of course, I started feeling pouty about how stuff doesn't fit. But, y'know what? Whatevs. My life is good, my computer is working, and I have a cute necklace and hairband. Who could ask for anything more?

No, really. Who could ask for anything more?

  1. I actually kind of dig this. And I can completely empathize with throwing away pants in fits of rage....

  2. Heh, thanks. Unfortunately, although it would probably be healthier on my brain/self-esteem if I DID throw away the pants, I banished them back to their darkened corner of the closet "to fit into another day." Ha.

  3. I really like this outfit, even if you're not impressed with it. And that necklace is ADORABLE.

  4. Aww, thanks! I do love this necklace - I'm still trying to plan out outfits with which to wear it!
